RESI Hackathon to deliver innovative solutions on health & safety in housing

Property Week is calling on the sector to sign up for our first-ever #RESIhackathon and show how technology and innovation can provide innovative solutions to transform the health and safety of residential schemes.

The eight-hour hack, taking place on 14 September at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport in association with Be My App and sponsors Westbourne Capital and Meyer Bergman, will be an opportunity to develop a prototype and highlight its effectiveness to the sector’s leading names.

Property Week is calling for start-ups, developers, designers, trainees, apprentices, agents, graduates to come together and develop apps or solutions to improve the health and safety of residential schemes, create solutions for residents and landlords to respond to health and safety concerns or to create communication or management tools to be used during a crisis.

Today, ensuring the health and safety of modern residential schemes is more important than ever. Recent events such as the Grenfell Tower tragedy have proven that technology and innovation need to move forward rapidly.

Participants will not only have the chance to claim a first prize of £1,000 or runner-up prize of £500 but also gain free access to the RESI Conference, which is set to be set to be the most important conversation on housing in the UK to date.
