Dragonfly reshuffles team after CEO departs

Dragonfly Property Finance has reshuffled its team following the departure of chief executive Jonathan Samuels.

On Friday, the short-lender, which is owned by Octopus Investments, announced that Samuels was leaving to pursue a new venture unrelated to real estate.

He was succeeded by the current head of sales and marketing Mark Posniak, who has now made his first two appointments.

D’mitri Zaprzala, who joined as a business development manager in 2013, will take over as head of sales.

Meanwhile, Matt Smith has been promoted to director of risk and recoveries. He joined the lender in 2010 as its first employee and most recently held the post of head of credit and servicing.

Posniak said Zaprzala had made “a massive impact” since his arrival and praised Smith for his understanding and nose for risk, describing his contribution as “integral to our success.”
