The largest auctioneer in Wales is preparing to launch a new sale in Bristol, with the aim of becoming the South West’s leading regional operator.
Newport-based Paul Fosh Auctions will hold eight auctions a year at the Holiday Inn in Filton, Bristol, beginning on 24 October.
Jay Ridsdale, who has been appointed to head up the Bristol business, said: “We are bringing a fresh approach and a new energy to property auctions serving the South West and west of England.
“With the size and strength of the economy, large catchment population and motorway links, Bristol is the ideal location.”
The first Bristol catalogue comprises only nine lots, but the auctioneer is hoping to build the platform over time. The October catalogue comprises land, residential, retail and development opportunities in the South West.
Paul Fosh has been the largest auctioneer in Wales for the past decade and sold 339 properties in 2016, raising a total of £23.7m - a quarter of all properties sold at auction in Wales last year. It has also recently launched an online auction.
