Features planner

Property Week publishes a variety of features each week, including Big interviews with senior figures from within the property industry, as well as investigations and Markets articles focused on specific sectors. We also welcome Letters to the Editor and Comment submissions on any topic of wide interest to the property sector.

Big Interview

To put forward a potential interviewee, please send a brief outline about the individual, what they would like to talk about and why it is relevant to the broader property sector. Email andy.hillier@propertyweek.com.

Markets articles

Each week, we run a feature article about a particular region or property sector. The list of the themes coming up until the end of the year is kept up to date on this page. We start work on Markets articles around four to six weeks in advance of publication. A synopsis for each feature is published around a month in advance of publication. You can contact the writers on the email addresses supplied on the synopses page with any ideas or potential contacts. Alternatively, email andy.hillier@propertyweek.com.

Advice on pitching ideas for Markets features

  • Pitch ideas and projects, rather than people or companies.
  • Send ideas at least four weeks in advance of publication date.
  • Avoid pitching for multiple Markets features in one email.
  • Make spokespeople available for interview over the phone.
  • Make sure you have relevant photos available.
  • Please do not ask for quote approval.

Letters

We welcome feedback in response to Property Week articles or any other topic of note. Letters should ideally be 300-350 words long, and may be edited prior to publication. Email lem.bingley@propertyweek.com.

Comment

Opinion articles of up to 900 words are welcome on any relevant topic. Please initially submit a short synopsis to the editor lem.bingley@propertyweek.com. Submissions should offer genuine thought leadership – we do not publish backlinks to contributor websites and may edit articles to remove marketing messages.
