
Andy Altman, head of the company responsible for the legacy of the 500-acre Olympic Park in east London, is stepping down after the Olympic Games this August.
Altman will step down as chief executive leave the London Legacy Development Corporation, as the corporation enters a new phase focused on construction.
“It is now the perfect time to transition the project to one focused on construction, so there will no disruption after the games in implementing the legacy vision we have crafted,” Altman said.
In his three years as chief executive Altman created a masterplan for 10m sq ft of development and five residential neighbourhoods;
In the interim Dennis Hone, chief executive of the Olympic Delivery Authority, will be interim chief executive of the London Legacy Development Corporation.
