Stephan Weber has been appointed as head of project management in Europe at Barings Real Estate Advisers.
He joins Barings after five years as director of special projects for King Abdullah’s Economic City in Saudia Arabia.
Weber has close to 30 years’ experience in property including two years with ICME Munich in Germany and Abu Dhabi and 10 years as general manager for European real estate at Sony.
In his new role he will be responsible for the project management of Barings Real Estate Advisers development projects and major asset management initiatives across Europe.
One of his key responsibilities will be overseeing Barings’ first speculative development in continental Europe, a 185,000 sq ft office scheme at Budapester Strasse in Berlin.
