Barratt London and Sanctuary Group have acquired land on a former north London army barracks site to develop 465 homes.
They acquired the plots at Millbrook Park in Mill Hill from The Inglis Consortium, a partnership between St Modwen, VINCI, Annington Property and the London Borough of Barnet.
Barratt will develop 290 private one- and two-bed flats, seven private three- and four-bed houses and 58 affordable flats and houses on a 5.4-acre plot.
Housing association Sanctuary will develop 84 private one- and two-bed flats, seven private three-bed houses and 19 affordable flats and houses on a 1.4-acre plot.
Millbrook Park has outline planning consent for 2,240 homes. Taylor Wimpey, CALA Homes, Countryside Properties and Linden Homes have already completed developments at the site.
St Modwen intends to recycle the proceeds from the sale into sites with “stronger structural growth prospects”.
The firm’s land director Rob Draper said: “To successfully conclude the disposal of two further phases to the Sanctuary Group and Barratt London demonstrates the robust and ongoing demand for serviced development land in high-quality locations. We look forward to the ongoing delivery of the growing residential community at the site.”
