Facebook’s London headquarters has been put up for sale for offers exceeding £65m, or a yield of 5.25%.
Mayfair-based investor Draco is planning to sell Seven Dials, a 60,000 sq ft office and retail block in Covent Garden, 37,000 sq ft of which is sub-let by Expedia to Facebook.
The property also houses clothing retailer Urban Outfitter and restaurant chain Belgo, and is being sold through agents at Savills. It is the latest in a stream of opportunistic proposed sales that aim to cash in on the shortage of available buys in London’s West End.
Today, PropertyWeek.com also revealed that Natwest was to sell 19-23 Shaftesbury Avenue, a development opportunity next to Piccadilly’s iconic lights, through agents at DTZ. The firm is seeking £17m or more on behalf of the owner-occupier bank.
Seven Dials was developed by Schroders in 2007, and sold it to Draco in 2008 for £56.55m.
