The Jamie Oliver company have outlined plans to convert 18,000 sq ft of offices into a high-performing multifunctional collaborative workspace across two floors on 15 Benwell Street.
Oliver’s head of art Sarah Tildesley and head of facilities Rob Hannington will work alongside London-based office design and build company Oktra to design and construct the site in Islington which will bring together three teams in one office.
The Jamie Oliver Media Group produces magazines, books and online content for the celebrity chef’s brand, as they moved to Holloway from offices in Shoreditch.
The ground office floor will provide a multifunctional and collaborative space. It will combine a breakout area with an informal meeting space and the second floor will boast a spacious kitchen area with minimalist monochromes set against distressed pine; giving the feel of a Scandinavian home kitchen.
Cheré Falconer, lead designer at Oktra, said: “The idea is to create an ‘Instagram moment’ for anyone coming through the front doors. Not only a space that fully supports the activities of its workers, but adds a vibrancy and charm that captures the unique personality of the Jamie Oliver franchise.”
Belchak Corin & Co advised the private landlord.
