Mapeley launches “Salisbury FM”

Investment and asset management company Mapeley has today launched a facilities management company, and has won a nine-year contract from the government.

The firm will be called Salisbury FM Limited and be run as a new facilities management company that looks to provide Mapeley’s  clients with a “one stop solution in services” across whole property portfolios.

It said today that the plan was to provide clients them with a more “transparent” FM supply chain at a lower cost, and it has secured a contract with HMRC to provide facilities management services across its portfolio. The deal follows Mapeley’s long-term outsourcing of the department’s property portfolio.

It said its position as a landlord and as a service provider would give a unique insight into the requirements of occupiers.

Mark Smith, chief executive of Mapeley, said: “Clients are looking for more efficiency in their FM services, something we believe Salisbury FM is well positioned to provide, giving business users a high quality service whilst allowing them to benefit from sustainable run rate savings and potentially lower cost services in the future.”
