Computer giant Microsoft this week opened its largest flagship store to date, on New York City’s Fifth Avenue.
The 22,269 sq ft unit at 677 Fifth Avenue is both Microsoft’s only store to span two storeys and to showcase Microsoft Surface Hub, the company’s workplace collaboration software.
“One of our goals, since we started the stores in 2009, was to have a real marquee location where we could bring an expanded retail presence,” said Kelly Soligon, general manager, worldwide marketing, Microsoft retail and online stores.
The store is one of more than 110 across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
The team at the new flagship speak a total of 19 languages, including Spanish, Hindi, Mandarin, Arabic and Russian, so they can help international customers.
