Mum's the word for firms linking up with Daisy Chain

A host of major property firms have thrown their weight behind a new online platform that aims to connect new mums with family-friendly employers.

Knight Frank, Gerald Eve and CBRE have endorsed the Daisy Chain platform, as has Greystar Europe and industry body the Urban Land Institute.

Daisy Chain aims to tackle gender inequality in the workplace and help working mums get back on the employment ladder.

It is free for mums and allows them to match and connect with employers that will help them enhance their careers and work-life balance. Users can state their availability, thereby staying in control of their time and maintaining the flexibility essential to new parents.

“Many employers are catching up to the different perspective that mothers often bring, such as a greater focus on the value of time management and efficiency,” said Michela Hancock, senior director of development at Greystar Europe.

“With today’s technology, flexible working options make perfect sense for unlocking the immense potential of this vast talent pool.”
