Strutt & Parker has appointed a new head of City investment following key defections at the end of last year.

Current Strutt national markets head Aidan Meynell will join its City office to head up their investment and development team. He will work with Peter Hunt, head of the City office and head of Strutt & Parker’s commercial group, and will join the existing five-strong team in August.

In December Drivers Jonas Deloitte poached James Gann and Jamie Olley to head up its own City investment team.

Aidan Meynell has been with Strutt & Parker for 14 years and previously worked in the City’s investment team until 2001 when he moved to grow the national markets group.

Hunt said: “Aidan has an extensive understanding of the dynamics of the UK investment market and will strengthen our City offering in line with Strutt & Parker’s plans for continued growth.”
