US fashion retailer Max Studio has signed to open its second UK store at the London Designer Outlet in Wembley.

Max Studio, founded by American fashion designer Leon Max, has several retail stores in the U.S and the Far East and made its UK debut in 2011 on Westbourne Grove.

The retailer has signed a 10 year lease on a 2,357 sq ft store at Quintain’s development.

Other retailers already signed up to the scheme include Marks & Spencer, Superdry and Guess, who all agreed terms in May.

The scheme is more than 50% exchanged or in solicitors’ hands.

Phil Cottingham, head of retail at Quintain, said: “It is a real coup for us to have signed Max Studio at Wembley. This will be London’s first bespoke designer outlet so we need to supplement the strong retail anchors we already have in place with luxury brands, both those that are familiar names in the UK and those that are less so. Max Studio will be a major draw for shoppers at Wembley, and is the type of international luxury brand we are keen to attract.”

Simon Goldstein, managing director of Max Studio UK, added: “London Designer Outlet will attract a sophisticated audience so is a great location for us as we seek to increase our presence in London and the UK.”

LDO is the retail and leisure element of Quintain’s 85-acre landmark regeneration project surrounding Wembley Stadium and Arena. The 350,000 sq ft development will include 15 new restaurants, cafés and coffee shops alongside 85 retail units and Cineworld, a new nine-screen cinema.
