POP launched in early 2015 and is now instructed on more than 30 properties including shopping centres; retail, leisure and business parks; outlets; and Business Improvement Districts.
Rhodes has 17 years experience in the shopping centre and visitor attractions industry, most recently as head of marketing at centre:mk in Milton Keynes. Prior to this, he undertook several marketing manager roles including at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet in Ellesmere Port.
Based in Manchester, he will lead the seven-strong POP team which operates from Savills offices both there and in London on projects including The Brewery in Romford; Monks Cross in York; Xscape in Yorkshire and Milton Keynes; and Harrow BID.
Katrina Mackay, property management director at Savills, said: “Given the current challenges faced by the retail sector, effective shopping centre marketing is more important than ever. We are delighted to be welcoming Shaun to POP Marketing and confident his in depth experience will be an ideal fit with the team, further strengthening our service provision and ability to respond to clients’ changing requirements for driving the success of their property portfolios.”
