Rose appointed new head of PAS

The director of growth, economy and culture at Milton Keynes Council, Anna Rose, has been appointed as head of the Planning Advisory Service.

Rose is taking over from Alice Lester, who has taken up a planning role with Brent Council, and has a start date of 21 August.

In 2007 she became head of planning and culture at Rugby Borough Council, taking responsibility for economic development, sports and arts as well as planning. In November 2014, Rose moved to Milton Keynes Council and her current role alongside being president of the Planning Officers Society, a PAS peer reviewer and board member.

PAS Chairman Cllr Stephen Parker said: “Anna is well respected within the planning community and her wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise will be invaluable in continuing the great work of the Planning Advisory Service.

“I welcome Anna to the PAS team and look forward to working with her to continue to provide high quality help, advice and support to councils up and down the country.”
