Verdion kickstarts phase two of £500m iPort

Verdion is set to add a further 3m sq ft of space within phase two of iPort, its 6m sq ft intermodal logistics park in Doncaster.

Having achieved lettings for 2.34m sq ft of space in 2016 to Amazon, Fellowes, CEVA and Lidl, Verdion is now commencing development of the second phase of the £500m scheme.

iPort offers both speculatively built units as well as design and build space ranging from 50,000 sq ft to1m sq ft and includes a 35 acre, high specification rail freight facility.

Michael Hughes, chief executive of Verdion, said: “2016 was a great year for iPort, with major lettings to household names validating the ambition of this project. We are glad to be able to announce the start of the second phase so quickly and expect to contend with a further wave of strong occupier interest in 2017.”

Gent Visick, CBRE and Colliers are letting agents for iPort.
