GCW puts in a peak performance for Three Peaks

It appears triumphing at the annual Elifar Challenge wasn’t enough of a, well, challenge for retail consultant GCW.

Having helped raise a record £65,000 for disabled people at the Elifar event - for which Property Week is proud to be a media partner - in June, the team at GCW set about raising further funds by taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge.

The event involves trekking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in one continuous attempt. GCW’s team - Alex Ash, Clive Gillingwater, David Gooch, Duncan Kite, Simon Horner, Patrick Bates, Phil Micheal, Nick Warr and Adam Cohen - scaled the peaks of Ben Nevis (1,345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m).

Impressively, GCW completed the challenge well within the 24 hours despite suffering freezing fog and driving rain at the top of Ben Nevis.

More importantly, it raised an additional £15,000 for Elifar and plans to carry on fundraising for the charity as soon as the team recovers.
