Who’s got the biggest baggage at Mipim 2017?

Mipim is well known for its symbols of excess, from Vincent Tchenguiz’s Veni Vidi Vici super-yacht to King Sturge’s ‘last days of the Roman Empire’-themed bash in 2008.

But times have changed, it seems. This year, people weren’t competing over the size of their yachts or their Champagne-fuelled events, they were trying to outdo each other on luggage. Yes, luggage.

Deloitte marketeer Emma Heath definitely deserves a mention for a case packed full of branded jelly beans. Meanwhile, Asseti’s Samuli Hiltunen was ready for every situation with his ‘ice swimming’ kit.

But the piece de (luggage) resistance surely has to be the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones, flown out by the team of Belfast at Mipim.
