Willem Wellinghoff has been made vice-president of compliance for online property lending and investing business LendInvest.
Wellinghoff is now responsible for setting and maintaining LendInvest’s compliance and risk management strategy. Among Wellinghoff’s compliance experience is a decade spent at Cabot Credit Management, initially as legal counsel and then as head of legal and regulatory affairs.
Since 2012, he has served as a special adviser to the board of the Credit Services Association, focusing on the migration of consumer credit regulation from the Office of Fair Trading to the Financial Conduct Authority.
Additionally, Wellinghoff is a regulatory mentor to fintech start-ups participating in the Barclays Accelerator programme.
He also acts as legal and regulatory mentor for fintech firm CommuterClub.
