The Association of Women in Property has announced the appointment of Brenda Jones as its national chairman for 2017-18. Jones will take on the role for one year from 1 March.
With 26 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, Jones is technical director in project management services at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in Scotland.
Jones worked as a building surveyor for a number of London boroughs before moving into a project manager role and relocating to Glasgow. There she joined Atkins for five years, followed by two years as an executive at Scottish Enterprise, and then Heery.
“I’m thrilled to take on this role, to continue the good work of my predecessors and make sure that Women in Property provides practical support to its members and employers to achieve a truly diverse industry,” said Jones.
“I’m also keen to broaden the appeal of property and construction to people who hadn’t previously considered it as a career choice.”
