Prospect Capital and Wilcocks & Wilcocks have received planning approval for a 27-storey residential tower in central Liverpool.
The city council backed the scheme, Ovatus 1, which will comprise 168 units across 20,828 sq ft as well as amenity and public space.
The hodder+partners-designed scheme has a GDV of £35m and is the first phase of a two-tower development on the site.
Craig Blackwell of Prospect Capital said: “We are very pleased with the planning news and that this great city is standing behind us and promoting us for this exciting new residential development.”
Following the planning decision, start on site could begin as early as September 2017. The planning application for Ovatus 2, a 48-storey, 580-unit tower, is due to be submitted in Autumn 2017.
Indigo Planning advised on planning.
